Bianca, the mute white clown, is trapped in a rift of time. She is likely from some dimension of the 1920’s or 1930’s. She travels eternally, seeking her long lost lover… though she can’t quite recall why her lady lover has gone missing.

This character’s physical attributes first came into existence in 2007 as a runway fashion show concept piece for Midori by designer Marty Rotman, under the Northbound Leather label in Toronto.

As Bianca, Midori explores the dark and ambivalent side of the Hero’s Journey while drawing on the traditions of the great clowns in Vaudeville, commedia dell’arte, and Punch and Judy.
